Radiography is generally a last resort method of choice by Level III NDE engineers, when other methods cannot be utilized. The
radiographic inspection of the DC-10/MD-11 crown skin area is a more expensive, higher risk exposure to radiation, and much slower inspection choice than the new Eddy Current C-Scan technology.
